Challenges from last year’s series had participants rappelling down a rock walls, holding live snakes and alligators, and singing before a live audience. Charity is an important component of the event as well–last year Chicago participants raised over $8,000 for Special Olympics doing tasks for strangers on the street! This year partial proceeds from the event will be benefiting Seattle Works. The Seattle team with the best time will advance to the 2008 US National Championships. The victors will represent “Team USA” at the 2008 World Championships in November in Marrakesh, Morocco. To save $25 on team registration simply enter YelpSeattle when signing up for a new team.

About Seattle, WA

Nicknamed the Emerald City, Seattle is indeed a Green city with a capital G. Nestled between the Puget Sound and Lake Washington, Seattle has it all, great views, fabulous seafood, a lush green surrounding and cultural diversity. Sometimes referred to as Jet City, one wonders if the nickname has more to do with it's primary fuel, coffee, than it's Boeing influences. Whether you're from Seattle or just visiting, come here for restaurant reviews, hotel reviews, things to do and places to see!
