Another Seattle Weekend

by

Looks like this weekends weather just might very well be iffy at best, so for those of you that are afraid of the rain or just want to head inside to keep that winter noda-tan rockin here are some things to do.

MOVIES

Judd Apatow (Anchorman, 40 rd old virgin, Talladaga Nights) has his new movie coming out this weekend in Knocked Up

“Judd Apatow is making the freshest, most honest mainstream comedies in Hollywood” David Ansen - NEWSWEEK

“Knocked Up turns out to be not just rude, crude and outrageously funny but a deceptively sophisticated meditation on moral agency — with pot jokes” Ann Hornaday - WASHINGTON POST

If into something a little more Indie, then head down to SIFF and get a ticket to Julie Delpy’s 2 days in Paris

“An utterly charming comedy of sexual manners that should do very well wherever audiences appreciate savvy dialogue and smart, observational filmmaking”
    Ray Bennett - HOLLYWOOD REPORTER

“An entertaining, deliciously played walk-and-talker by helmer-writer-star Julie Delpy and co-star Adam Goldberg.”
    Derek Elley - VARIETY

BARS

FX McCrory’s Whiskey Bar - Great food, 30 fresh draught beers on tap and America’s largest bourbon collection. All captured by artist LeRoy Neiman’s famous F.X. McRory’s painting. Best sports bar in town, right by Safeco and Qwest Field.

Oliver’s - Hands down the best martinis on the west coast. Higher end dress and prices, kinda of a meat market so go prepared.

    MISCELLANEOUS

Go to a museum, go to an art show, go to a library and read a book. Or just stay at home brushing up on your CSS skills and sleep in both Saturday and Sunday rising only to grab a bite to eat before taking a nap. Whatever you do have some fun and try to get naked somehow even if its streaking like Ichiro with his 25 game hitting streak.

P.S. Kenny Lofton sure is a real buzz kill. Isn’t he like 40? Go climb Everest man and leave Beltre’s homers alone!
