Where to get breakfast in the Emerald City
![]()
You know that feeling when waking up after an adventurous night out on the town? The unmistakable desire to get something in your belly to clear the cobwebs and summon the power to get on with your day. If you happen to be in the 206 remember the place to be is atop of Queen Anne where a divine eatery with sate both your appetite and deadened senses.
Don’t get me wrong, this place is neither cheap nor vacant, great places have these things in common. So if you see a line out the door and don’t have any patience then go to Mickey D’s and scarf some prefab heat light rubber eggs as you don’t deserve this place. If you do stay go inside and put your name down on the list and they will call you when your table is ready.
If you made it to a table you will see the aesthetic is actually painted on the wall, as in the many paintings adorning virtually every square inch. This sets the theme for the laid back atmosphere of the place. It’s sincerely a locale where the outside world disappears and other things of more importance come into focus, like the Caramel Freedom Toast. A dish so good, they could literally charge an arm, leg, or even a Big Lebowski toe for this genius confection.
Oh they have other dishes that are just as good if not gooder (yes I know that s not a word) but my aversion to eggs keeps me firmly implanted in the carb load section of the menu. Put your trust in me and order anything on the menu and you will get some sass from not only the flavorful dishes but the waitresses if your lucky.
One sentence review: Breakfast is the new lunch, dig on that brunch!!!
